The Written entrance test would be compulsory for students, who are otherwise eligible, for admission to the MPhil Program. The entrance test will be conducted once a year.
The combined entrance test for M.Phil. and Ph. D. will be a qualifying examination with qualifying marks as 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC (NC)/PWD). The syllabus for the entrance test will consist of 50% questions on research aptitude/methodology and 50% subject-specific questions from the following areas:
